I am excited and honored to introduce myself as the Principal of William Byrne Elementary. As a longtime resident of District 191, I believe strongly in our vision and mission: Every student. Future ready. Community strong.
My two children, Lara and Adam, attend schools in 191. When I am not at William Byrne, I enjoy spending time with my family (my wife Nancy and our two children), fishing, sports, and reading.
Over the past 12 years, I have worked with students across grade levels as a teacher and administrator to create a strong school culture and provide students with opportunities for success, producing strong results for students and families. As an immigrant to the United States, I have experienced firsthand the power and benefits of a great education and hard work, and that’s why I am a lifelong learner. Recently, I finished my coursework towards my doctorate in educational leadership, and I am preparing to work on my dissertation.
Along with a team of dedicated teachers and staff and a strong community, I am prepared to lead our work towards academic excellence for every student. The home school connection is extremely important, and I look forward to our partnership in helping every scholar succeed. My goal is that every student is provided with rigorous academics, individualized learning, hands-on experiences, and opportunities to feed their natural curiosity and love of learning.
